Just days before the start of the 2017 season, the Seattle Seahawks have a new look.

Seattle unveiled a new alternate logo on the team’s social media pages Tuesday evening.

The logo looks like it was inspired by a totem pole. Instead of the sideways-facing profile the franchise has sported since its founding, this new, boxy-headed Seahawk looks you square in the face.

The result is unnerving.

“For everyone who’s ever wondered what it would be like to be stand face-to-beak with a Seahawk,” read the Facebook post announcing the new logo. “Stay tuned for info on where you’ll see this new alternate Seahawks logo.”

Or where this new Seahawks logo will see you, right?

The Seahawks last changed their logo in 2012, though that was only a color change from the meaner mug they switched to in 2002. Before that, the team used the same logo it had since its inception in 1976.
