For their 20th season, the New Jersey Jackals (independent; Can-Am League) have unveiled brand new logos. 

The enhanced Jackals logo scheme features a revamped primary logo and an enhanced lettermark logo. The refreshed look will be featured on the team’s new black alternate uniforms and on lots of fun team merchandise that is now available for purchase in the Yogi Berra Stadium Team Store.

The decision to revamp the Jackals’ identity was not made lightly, as Jackals fans are proud of the team’s rich history. This is why the team’s brand evolution retains core elements such as the jackal head and “NJ” wordmark and lettermark. The signature red and black colors also remain. The Jackals will retain their original logos, which will now be referred to as the team’s classic logos, and the team will alternate between their new uniforms and their classic uniforms throughout the season. Merchandise with both the new and classic logos is available for purchase.

The Jackals’ design goal was to create an identity that would be more exciting and energetic, yet convey strength and power. With the help of Worthen Design (worthendesign.com), the Jackals have successfully captured the spirit and enthusiasm of the team’s long-standing brand. The logo, wordmark and lettermark have been updated to better reflect the club and to establish a bold new visual statement.

The primary logo features a new jackal with a more modern and expressive look. The words “New Jersey Jackals ” rest under the jackal and feature a contemporary font with sharper serifs that mirror the teeth of the jackal. Both elements incorporate a baseball wrapped by the popular tail motif.

The Jackals have also upgraded their lettermark. The new lettermark closely resembles the classic Jackals logo that has been the cornerstone of the brand for 20 years. This enhanced edition features the iconic red “NJ,” now in the Jackals’ new sharp serif font, with the classic baseball resting atop the “J.”
